Your Data, Your Choice

Right to Erasure

Three simple ways to request deletion, with a confirmed outcome every time.

User Data Deletion Instructions

How to request deletion of your personal data, exactly what we remove, how long it takes, and the limited records we are legally required to keep.

Effective date: 11 August 2026

1. Your Right to Deletion

Vesta Tiles, the trading name of Marble Emporio (GSTIN 33ABQFM8348E1ZY), a firm registered in Tamil Nadu, India — referred to here as "Vesta", "we", "us" — respects your right to have your personal data erased. This page explains exactly how to ask us to delete the information we hold about you, what we will delete, how long it takes, and the narrow categories of record we are legally required to keep.

This applies to all data we hold about you, however you reached us — through our website https://www.vestatiles.in, a lead form on our Facebook or Instagram advertisement, a conversation on WhatsApp or Messenger, an order, or an offline enquiry.

Requesting deletion is free of charge, and we will never ask you to justify your request.

Effective date: 11 August 2026.

2. How to Request Deletion

Choose whichever method is easiest for you. All three carry equal weight.

Option 1 — Email (recommended)
Send an email to admin@vestatiles.in with the subject line "Delete My Data". Please send it from the email address you used with us where possible, as this speeds up verification.

Option 2 — WhatsApp
Message us on +91 90439 99485 with the words DELETE MY DATA. This works from the number you originally contacted us on.

Option 3 — Telephone or post
Call us on +91 90439 99485 during support hours, or write to our Grievance Officer at the postal address in Section 8.

Please include in your request:
• Your full name
• The email address and/or phone number you used with us
• Your order number, if you have placed an order
• Whether you want all your data deleted, or only a specific category — for example only your marketing consent, or only your WhatsApp conversation history

3. What We Delete

Once your request is verified, we permanently erase or irreversibly anonymise the following from our active systems:

Your contact record — name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, and postal or site addresses
Lead and enquiry data — everything you submitted through a Facebook or Instagram lead form, our website enquiry form, or a sample request
Conversation history — your WhatsApp, Messenger, website chat, and email correspondence with us
Marketing profile — your subscription status, consent records, segmentation tags, and campaign engagement history
Project and preference data — measurements, tile selections, shortlists, and quotations that have not resulted in an invoiced order
Website identifiers — analytics and advertising identifiers associated with you, and any custom-audience entry we have uploaded

Advertising audiences: We also remove your hashed identifiers from any Meta Custom Audience we maintain, so you stop being targeted through our audience lists. Note that this stops our targeting — it does not delete data Meta holds independently, which you control via your own Meta account settings (see Section 6).

4. What We Must Legally Retain

Indian law requires us to keep certain financial records even after a deletion request. We cannot erase these, but we do restrict them:

Tax invoices, GST returns, and transaction records — retained for 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required under the Goods and Services Tax legislation, the Income-tax Act, 1961, and the Companies Act, 2013.
Records subject to an active legal claim, audit, or investigation — retained until that matter concludes.
A minimal suppression record — we keep a one-line hashed record of your email or phone number solely so that our systems recognise you must not be contacted again. This is a legal safeguard for your benefit, not a marketing record.

How retained records are handled: They are moved to restricted-access archives, are accessible only to our finance and compliance staff, and are never used for marketing, profiling, advertising, or any purpose other than the legal obligation that requires them. They are securely destroyed once the statutory period expires.

5. Verification & Timeline

We follow a fixed process so you always know where your request stands:

Within 7 working days — we acknowledge your request in writing and, if necessary, ask you to confirm your identity. Verification protects you: it stops someone else deleting your records.
Within 30 days — we complete the deletion across our production systems and confirm to you in writing that it is done, listing anything retained under Section 4 and the reason.
Within 90 days — the data is purged from our encrypted rolling backups, which are overwritten on a 90-day cycle. Backup copies are never used to restore deleted records.

If we cannot complete your request — for example because we cannot verify your identity, or because a legal obligation applies — we will tell you clearly, explain why, and set out what you can do next. We will not simply ignore a request.

Effect of deletion: Once deleted, we can no longer retrieve your order history, saved preferences, or past quotations. Any future enquiry will be treated as a new one. Deletion cannot be undone.

6. Deleting Data Held by Meta

It is important to understand the distinction between the two:

Data we hold — deleted using the process on this page.
Data Meta Platforms, Inc. holds about your use of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Messenger — controlled by you directly, through your own Meta account, under Meta's own Privacy Policy. We have no ability to delete it for you.

To manage the data Meta holds, you can:
• Review and remove businesses linked to your activity in Meta Accounts Center
• Disconnect off-Facebook activity attributed to us via Settings → Your Activity Off Meta Technologies
• Adjust or restrict ad personalisation in Meta Ad Preferences
• Delete a WhatsApp or Messenger conversation from your own device, and block our business number

Deleting a conversation on your device does not delete our copy of it — please use Section 2 to have our copy removed as well.

7. Alternatives to Full Deletion

Full deletion is not always what you actually want. You may prefer one of these, and you can request any of them using the same channels in Section 2:

Unsubscribe from marketing only — stops promotional emails and WhatsApp messages while keeping your order history and warranty records intact. Reply STOP on WhatsApp or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Correct your data — update an incorrect phone number, address, or GST detail rather than erasing the record.
Request a copy of your data — receive an export of what we hold about you before deciding.
Restrict processing — ask us to pause use of your data while a query or dispute is resolved.
Delete one category only — for example your WhatsApp conversation history, while retaining your account.

These rights are described in full in Section 10 of our Privacy Policy.

8. Grievance Officer & Contact

All deletion requests and any complaint about how we handled one are managed by our Grievance Officer, in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Rules, 2011.
